WHO WE ARE...
The Kristin S. Conrad Lace Center is the first Educational nonprofit lace center on the East Coast
of the U.S. and is dedicated to the history and practice of lacemaking.
At the heart of the Lace Center, you will find a museum with lace and textile works created by
Kristin Conrad, other masterpieces by lacemakers spanning four centuries, a class room and a resource library. Following the
the Foundation's mission, the Lace Center offers lacemaking space for the local guild and a
demonstration area. The Center offers classes for adult beginners and an after-school youth program.
The Kristin S. Conrad Lace Center Foundation's priority is to provide a permanent home for the
Lace Center, creating essential infrastructure for future programming.
